How Does Kleen-Tech Resolve Wet Carpet Issues?

Step 1 Assess the flood damage and decide of the carpet should be removed or restored. Following a flood damage report by us to your insurance company, carpeting soiled with water contaminated by sewage, overflowing drains or sediment will usually need to be replaced.
Step 2 For carpet that is not heavily saturated Kleen-Tech may be able to initiate the drying process including treatment of the carpet and steam cleaning. Normally when the carpet is fully saturated however, the carpet will need to be lifted following the surface being dried initially and the water underneath the carpet will also need to be warm air dried. This process is known as floating and the process can take several days. Underfelt must also be assessed once the carpet has been lifted and depending on the saturation it may be able to be salvaged. If it is far too saturated and damaged already, it will be removed and disposed of appropriately.
Step 3 The next step is to stretch the dry carpet back out, as during the drying process fibres in the carpet naturally shrink given their material composition. Once the carpet has been stretched back to its original size, Kleen-Tech’s professional carpet layers re-lay the carpet.
